A/N: In my writing group we had to write a short story that was under 500 words, so here’s mine!

To rob or not to rob, that is the question. At least it was the question that infiltrated the minds of Mindy and Catherine. School just got out and they sat in their car anxiously looking at the large sign in front of the store. Bible Emporium, it read.

“Oh…I’m getting the heebie jeebies, I’m so excited”, Mindy stated as she grabbed her super soaker.

“I know, we’ll finally find out who betrayed Jesus!” Catherine grabbed her super, super soaker.

“Couldn’t we just look it up online?” Mindy asked.

“No, this is more fun.”

“Oh.” Talk about peer pressure. They got out of their car. It was time! Through the doors they went.

“Everyone stay calm!” Catherine said, holding her ‘gun’. “We’re just robbing the store!”

“Just...make yourselves at home,” Mindy stated unsurely.

They rushed to one of the many bibles.

“It was Judas!” Catherine exclaimed as the two friends ran out of the building. Before leaving the store Mindy stopped to yell;

“Remember, smoking kills!”

Outside the police, FBI and bomb squad greeted them, armed and ready. The friends didn’t care. It was worth it. The mystery was solved.
