Longing
To fly to you though they berate me
My heart, yearns, of lately
The crystal rain that define this longing
Nearly sent my pulse
Now sounding.
To see you sleeping gracefully
I’d give the world for this small plea
To feel those lips that still astounds me
I’d wrench my chest of life still pounding
To feel your arms clasped tight about me
Or simply, I to glance and see you
Or hope to sleep and wake anew
To cherubs singing,
Where roses bloom
And that crystal rain that falls asunder
Shall no more set my soul to plunder.
