The past is present

The future, gone

Time stops

No more beating

No more hurting

Same as always

Some things will never change

Emotions ever constant

But never life

Not after today

The path is set in motion

But fear consumes so much

And some things must be done

So some can be at rest

Forever wasn’t long enough

But now it seems, forever

So peace can be made
