A/N: This is a rough draft of my very first story. I’m working on the final copy. But I’d like to here some reviews before I continue. Read and Review. All right reserved to Brent Shipman.

Prologue

During a time of human suffering, during a time when sunlight existed very little; during this time, humans lay further down on the line of power. Many species, a new, now walk on this planet; animals, no longer of many, but now of scarce, dangerous creatures, creatures that have adapted to the harsh climate of this snow ridden planet.

This world once shown with the radiance of light, but now it is of shadows, allowing greater powers to rise. Known as the ‘Three Species,’ they are being that came from the power of ‘Darkness.’ Darkness: the power from which became a part of reality due to the sadness and sorrow built in this world by the shadows of this new planet. New planet, no, a planet rebuilt, to make up for the corruption that had been caused by the humans.

As the light faded from this planet, the three dimensions began to drift. Heaven, Hell, and Earth are of the three. The three have been forever separated since the beginning of time, and on some random moment, Hell became joined with Earth, not at all physically, but spiritually, for only the power of Hell had an effect on the beings of Earth. Heaven now lays forgotten, out of the grasp of mortals; as Heaven’s radiance left, Hell brought on Darkness, to make up for the loss of light.

Of the three Species, come those who have changed so very little, those who were once animals who sought out a way to escape death; ‘Creatures.’ A name, though a bit cliché, is befitting to these monsters. These creatures have become things of hunger, searching for an ounce of life, lingering around on anywhere from four legs to many. They are of low intelligence but use their instincts they had once as an animal. They are hardly ever seen by humans, but are known to attack them.

Along with the creatures, the second, ‘Ancients,’ hold knowledge above all other beings; they are of the immortal and possess ancient magic. The come from any of the three species or even of human status. Though they possess great powers, due to the cost of immortality, their bodies grow weak with age and lose all physical stature. They choose to hide within the snow and use it to it’s fullest to provide them with a home. Instead of working alongside each other, the Ancients choose to live as rogues, rather then team up.

And the third, the most powerful, said to have appeared from the books and sayings of human beings; ‘Demons.’ Created from hatred, despair, tragedy, depression, murder, war, death, or even from wishing for it; these creatures were created from the human beings. And sadly enough, they feed on the humans as well. There are two main groups to the Demon faction. The first are of low rank and mindless lumps of flesh. Rather than use intelligence, they use instincts like the Creatures. Most of them are forward on their attacks, but some will hide among the humans. The second are of God-like status; they have great intelligence and prefer to manipulate lower beings to do their bidding. These being are immortal as well, but possess great power and a different level of knowledge. Their knowledge comes from the depths of Hell, giving them knowledge of dark arts and abilities. These Demons are also known to create a weapon of chose for them to carry along with them.

Along with these beings came everything that could destroy the remnants of the human race; Darkness, hatred, and murder. Human’s great empires were brought to ruins. But this is of the past; let us move on to the future. It’s been thousands of years since this event. Humans have found ways to live without Light or heat, while the creatures of Darkness lurk about waiting for prey. Waiting to devour the flesh of man, as man once fed on the flesh of beast.
