"The thunder rolled...

The night sky sighed...

The stars fell...

Right out of the sky...

As they fall...

I'm staring at them...

To mesmerized to figure out...

The meaning of it all...

Its simple really...

Our time is up...

It wasn't wasted though...

We had our laughs...

Our joys...

Our pains...

All well lived...

And well earned...

I wanted to do so much...

Before it all had to end...

Like see you one last time...

And just hold you forever...

Hopefully you wouldn't mind...

Seeing as forever wasn't going to be that long...

So I ran...

I ran to you...

Saw you with him...

And stopped...

Thought...

Smiled...

And turned away...

I knew you were with who you wanted...

And for that I'm glad...

I'm walking now...

As the world goes to hell...

Earthquakes...

Temperature fluctuations...

Hurricanes in midland...

Tornadoes at the tide...

All in my thoughts...

Trapped in them…

As long as your happy...

Up until the end that is...

The darkness is fading...

I blink back into reality...

Only to see my demise...

Looks like a star found me...

More than likely the one I had wished on...

Earlier that is...

To see you once more...

To hold you in my arms...

To wish you farewell...

To kiss you...

But thats okay...

I saw your tears...

But at least you were happy with who you were with...

It hit not far...

Sending the earths crust flying everywhere around me...

Struck by pieces, I fell...

Bleeding and broken...

Woke up the next month...

A month that wouldn't matter...

Bewildered I tried to stand and fell...

No legs...

Taken from me...

Along with my right arm...

Vision blurry...

Forever impaired...

The cords were ripped...

IV fell...

More torn flesh...

Doctors...

Nurses...

Parents...

But no you...

I gasp for air...

Try to speak...

At that time I notice the tube...

That I had not noticed before...

I put the pieces together...

As my fingers met the hole in my throat...

Crippled...

Lost...

Afraid...

Alone...

More doctors...

More nurses...

Lifted me higher...

Sat me down...

Worked quickly...

I just stared...

Tried to smile...

And closed my eyes...

No need to try and stop the pain...

No need to try and stop the blood from rushing to my mouth...

Body covered in the red liquid...

But I was content...

I knew you were alive...

And okay...

As I slowly heard the news playing...

About the meteors...

About the only injury...

About they boy in ICU...

About me...

I let the pain succumb...

And take me into the night..

With my purpose being served.. "
