Before I knew what was happening, he kissed me. Just as quickly as it had started, it had ended, and I was left standing there in shock. Never had I been that close to a guy, and it wasn’t so bad.

“You... just... what?” I started trying to form sentences. Sadly enough it made sense to me, but from the look on his face I could tell I wasn’t really saying anything. I stuck to silence figuring he could figure out what I was saying himself.

“I kissed you?” He looked at me with his cute smile and I had to focus on breathing. No one has ever done anything close to that to me before. Usually it went something like this: I like a guy, he doesn’t like me, I silently watch at a distance like a creepy stalker. This time, it seemed I stood a chance, but with one move of my arm, I might have blown it. I had wiped my mouth in my shock, and I could se the look on his face change from happy, to a little hurt. “I see,” he said as he turned to leave.

I had to stop him. This was my only chance, and I was letting it walk away. This was my chance to go after what I wanted in life... to get things my way and enjoy time with someone else.

“Roy! Come back! I’m sorry!” Of course, he couldn’t hear me over the loud music. He was almost out of sight and I needed to quickly form an idea if I wanted any chance. So I did the first thing that came to mind, I ran after him at full speed. I cared little if people were in my way. If they wanted to stay in one piece, they would move out of my way.

I was across the room in less time than expected, and I could see him leaving the club. “Roy!” I called out his name again hoping he was far enough away from the noise to hear me. I saw him look back and keep walking. I knew I had messed up big... Stupid habits! I ignored the fact that my jacket was still in the club and ran outside. Winter or not, I was going to fix this. If I didn’t try, I knew I would forever regret it.

Running outside, standing in the middle of the sidewalk, looking in all directions for Roy. the sidewalks were too icy for him to have gotten far, but there were too many people for me to tell which way he went. I was cold, but didn’t care, my focus was on finding him and stopping these damn thoughts from stopping me.

I turned my head sharply, hoping he was walking behind me. He wasn’t, instead, my glasses went flying off my face. I was cold, blind, and alone. All I had left were the negative thoughts constantly haunting me. But then someone appeared, or at least entered my line of vision.

“You might need these,” the familiar voice stated, and put my glasses on my face. All negative thoughts left my mind as his face started to come into focus. I could hardly help but feel important in his presence. Relieve flooded over me as I thought I may not have messed up as badly as I originally thought. He had to have had a reason to come back.

“So what did you forget?” I asked him, having nothing else to say and needing to fill the silence.

“I almost forgot something very important. I think it’s in the club, want to help me find it?” I frowned thinking he really did forget something, only to see him smile back and start laughing. “Never mind, I found it,” and he handed me my jacket.

AN: Ignore the errors and whatever. I like this one, personally. Review if you wish, and yes, I am aware that it starts off at an awkward place.
