I fell so far, shattering upon the ground until (I found her)
Hands scraped raw and bloodied, too many times
I heard them speak the same excuses, barely hearing them anymore.
I heard her whisper the soft words I wanted, needed so badly
Glancing up into the open, black sky and I found (her)
I found her voice, looked her way and believed
I was stronger than any man made me feel.

there was something about her I want so badly
To feel her, to touch, to taste everything she offers.
I’m damned, but she’s the salvation I prayed for.
I kiss her computer messages like they’re my water,
The wine in my glass because it’s simply not enough.

I stood in the rain for hours, weak and fumbling
Until she stood out there, umbrella shadowing her and I believed
that I was strong again and I tested my wills,
Stood back and challenged the world and her
But I’d honestly walk the miles just for her smile
Spend hours alone just to spend five minutes in her arms.
I miss her with every fiber of my being,
The soul I convent and seal away in stone.

I heard your soft promise, you’ll always be there.
Sometimes, you’re the stable hand in the windy storm
And I need that so much.
Be my ocean, be my tears, the sunshine
Whatever you want, just be near me when I need you.
I was ready to give up when I found her,
When I found you.

Written for my girlfriend, Lady DreamWriter. Because sometimes I know she doesn't hear it often.
