Drops of water
in the sand.
Indentations,
only temporary.
They'll soon dry up
in this desert land.
Drops of water
on the floor.
I'll wipe them up,
mess gone,
the water is no more.
Drops of water
on my face.
Dried and
washed away
from this place.
Drops of water
on my heart
Not easily washed.
I'm drenched, flooded
with tears; never to part.
