Sorry if no one understands this, it was written when I was listening to the Rolling Stones and watching the Media Player’s visualizations.
Dance of the Freaky Circles
They ran ahead of me, two of them, just two. They ran so fast, I was trying to catch them, I was trying so hard. But they kept going so much faster. One was jumping, one was twirling. They laughed and sang, skipping along in front of me. Then they would change shape and color, twisting and turning, all the time bouncing in front of me.
Then they picked up speed, disappearing in the dark, leaving me alone. The whole world turned dark, engulfing me in a shadowy blanket. The area was filled with a chilling ambience, all existing life snuffed out like a candle flame…except me.
A small flicker came out of the gloom then, a little fire starting to ignite. I ran to it, anything to block out the deathly chill. This thing didn’t run away from me, it allowed me to come to it. It forced me to come to it, pulling me in with its dazzling flames,
It shimmered as I sat down, long blades of fire rising up and disappearing into the dark. I watched it, entranced, until finally something else happened. Its flame extended, bringing something else into the light.
There were people coming at me. They spun their swords, raised their torches, unforgiving spikes extended to the dark heavens. All the time they marched, in a steady almost melodic beat. They kept on marching, right passed me. For some reason I wanted them to stop, I screamed at them, I screamed so loud. But they didn’t hear me. They kept on marching, more and more coming out of the darkness. I ran against them, they didn’t bother me, they didn’t even glance down. I kept on running, past the tall figures with outcast shadows.
There didn’t seem to be an end to them, but just as I thought that, the long lines ended. The people marched on, unperturbed, swords and flames still raised and twirling.
I watched them go, until a faint spraying sound reached my ears. I turned around, and my eyes were greeted with the beautiful sight of a golden fountain. It spewed up golden water - no, liquid gold! But nothing was coming down; it just kept on going up into that endless sky. I tried to see where it ended, but then realized it didn’t.
I stuck my hand in greedily, wanting some of the stunning bullion. But the minute my hand made contact, it started disappearing. I clasped my hand desperately, but none came with me. The fountain had morphed into another fountain. A silver fountain; a silver fountain with dancing liquid silver.
It bounced and curved, always too fast to catch. It was better than the golden fountain. Much better. So enchanting I gazed at it for a long time. It didn’t disappear like all the other things. I small smile twitched at my lips as I pulled myself off the ground.
I started walking away, into a newly opened gap in the darkness. A horizon of blue, not orange or pink. It pulsed dangerously, but I continued on. I strode through, unafraid, leaving the wondrous place in peace.
Thank you for reading. Those were all based on the visualizations of the Plenoptic section, even if Dance of the Freaky Circles is in the Battery section. There was a hidden meaning in there, I think. Sometimes my subconscious works against my will.
