Waiting

I try not to let it get to me;

I pretend it doesn't matter,

I act like I don't need you so much,

But I think we both know that's a lie.

You haven't spoken to me in days,

And it is eating me up inside.

I miss you so much, but I can't help

Wondering: Do you even miss me?

I keep waiting for some sort of sign -

For my phone to ring or for an email,

For a new text message, anything -

To let me know you care about me.

I have waited all day and all night,

And I'll continue waiting forever.

I made my choice a long time ago,

And I'm never going to leave you.

Why do I love you so much?
