Silent Screams

I hold back the tears

Which threaten to fall

As my mind wanders;

I remember it all.

I feel so out of

Time, and out of place;

Too many memories

That I can't erase.

So many people

I've loved now are gone,

Leaving me here, and

I feel so alone.

My life is changing

Regrettably fast,

And still I am trapped,

Held back by my past.

I want to forget

All the hopeless dreams,

All the passion is

Lost in silent screams.
