Never Forget

When I close my eyes,

I can see your face.

The image burned in

My head forever.

Your shiny dark hair,

And sparkling eyes,

So full of life - a

Life stolen too soon.

I can't forget you,

No matter how hard

I may try sometimes...

You won't disappear.

It seemed you always

Had something to say;

Jokes, sarcastic cracks;

At times, soothing words.

You were intelligent,

You were beautiful,

And you were helpful.

What a life to take...

You were my best friend,

You were my person,

I love you so much.

What a bond to break...

Your face haunts me now.

Once perfect features,

Are now tarnished; that

Person is no more...
