Excerpt from Requiem of the Shifters:
Book four of the Shifter series
A grey panther ran through the light filled streets of the Community, desperately trying to escape the small, white tiger chasing him. He hadn’t believed it when she Shifted and started running after him. She was female and human how the hell can she Shift? Without paying attention to where he was going, his left foot ran headlong into a trashcan and caused him to stumble, but he refused to fall to the ground. She was sure to catch him if he did. Righting himself, he quickly turned down a different street, then hurriedly rushed into a dark alleyway.
Merging into the shadows, he watched the small tiger run past him without even realizing he had turned again to escape her. Taking deep breaths, he waited several minutes, before poking his head out into the street. The tiger was nowhere to be seen. Smiling in relief, he took a step back onto the street. His head cocked to the left at a sound behind him and a shiver rolled down his spine. Stiffly turning around, he cringed as the small tiger angrily roared at him.
