In The Shadows

I’m living the shadows

Can’t survive in the light

Don’t want to be enlightened

Because I love the night

Some people hate the shadows

More than I can comprehend

Nighttime may seem hellish

But to me its heaven sent

If I were to kill tomorrow

If I were to die today

As long as I am in the shadows

I don’t mind being this way

Why can’t they just accept it?

Why do we have to fight?

I will always love the shadows

Even if it’s never right

When I can’t find the answers

When people won’t let me be

That’s why I stay in the shadows

Where I can finally just be me
