Forest of Fears

Bees, spiders, mice and rats,

Clowns, hawks, and vampire bats;

Miscommunication,

Public humiliation;

Being deemed a liar,

Or caught in a fire;

There’s death and destruction,

And loss of a loved one,

A heart made of stone,

And being all alone.

Through the trees these things that scare me,

So why didn’t you prepare me?

I hold back my stream of tears,

And walk through the forest of fears.
