I know that chapters are not supposed to be author’s notes, but this is important. This is a disclaimer. I am NOT anti-Semitic in any way, nor am I a neo-Nazi. Hitler was in power for about twelve years. Children were brainwashed into revering him from a very young age. I’m writing from the perspective of a girl who is brainwashed in such a way. The chapters will go from age five to seventeen. The main character is NOT an ideal to live up to nor am I trying to excuse her or her actions or beliefs. I am examining growing up in Nazi Germany as a German child whose family supports Hitler – not telling you that her actions are pardoned because of her upbringing. There will be anti-Jewish and pro-Hitler statements. I DO NOT BELIEVE EITHER. I think Hitler was a madman and I am friends with quite a few Jews who are very pleasant people. DO NOT flame me for being a Nazi. Thank you.
