Omnis daemon olim angelus erat. – Latin
Somewhere in the past a little girl sits in a half-lit room trying in vain to piece together broken glass. What once was can never be recreated, but, however futile the task, she has naught but a trickle of hope, and so continues. She stills her bloody fingers for just a moment, listening, and then shakes her head at the words she hears.
"No, no lost soul is stolen." She looks at the puzzle of glass before her.
"It is given away."
