Let's run.
Let's run run run
because right now
eternity seems so far away
with sweat on my legs and the wind in my hair.
Run with me--
run with me, and we'll forget
what chains and cold steel feel like;
we'll forget how fragile we are,
a heartbeat from heartbreak
a hair's breadth from tragedy
yet we're living free
so let's just dance towards the horizon
(pick a horizon--any one will do)
and we'll meet it, soon,
our reuinion with the world.
This is bliss, is it not?
Yet we're toeing the edge,
our lives, worthless priceless things
on the line, past all sanity,
a breath away from hell
a moment away from heaven
there's no smell but that of flowers
and sweat
and justice
but will it be like this forever?
No--no--it can't be--
I can't imagine eternity
so take my hand
and let's run
run
till our hearts stop
let's just run
until forever
