Imperfection Attained

She listens to them screaming,

Her head against the wall,

Not being able to pull herself away,

Though her heart is breaking.

Even though the pieces.

Have still not been picked up,

She still listens through that wall,

Wondering if it will ever stop.

-

All she wants is the perfect life,

Filled with jewels and pretty dresses.

-

Even though she knows

That it will never come true,

She still tells herself,

That perfection is hers to attain.

-

Imperfection is all she's known,

Yet she tries so hard to change

Herself every day.

-

Because it's all her fault,

That they shout

And she listens.

-

She listens to them screaming,

Her head against the wall,

Not being able to pull herself away,

Even though her heart is
