Waiting For Your Response

Look at the clock,

I have to get up in a few hours.

But I type furiously at my keyboard,

Waiting for your response,

Arguing over god knows what,

Ignoring my instincts for sleep,

Forgetting pages of homework,

I don't care I need to shower still.

I probably should get some laundry done,

But I type furiously at my keyboard,

Waiting for your response,

I put a pot of coffee on,

No sleep here tonight.

Gossip and tales we've already heard,

I don't want to leave this feeling,

In a few hours things can change,

You might not want my friendship anymore,

You might hate me again,

There might be more rumors of us,

We might believe them.

These moments are getting more common,

But my trust for you is not strong,

The way we used to be,

Where nothing was left unsaid,

No dangerous thoughts inside my head,

I'm too scared to tell you that I feel this way,

But I need you to get me through some days,

Please believe me when I tell you I am here for you,

I hope you know that I love you too,

But somethings I can't say to you just yet,

Please don't get angry I don't want you to fret,

Things are still odd with us,

But I type furiously at my keyboard,

Waiting for your response.

I can't tell him about Robyn. I can't tell him about Harry. We have no secrets, but I don't trust him.
