Miss Murder

Chapter Two

A man in his early-twenties was riding down the highway on a motorcycle. He has red, messy, spiked hair, and he was about average height. His hair blew in the wind as he went the 70 mph speed limit. He arrived home, parked in his motorcycle in front of his house, and dismounted. As he entered the house, he took notice of the note attached to his door; he grabbed it on his way in, closing the door behind him.

He brought the paper to his face, expecting it to be a “Missed-Delivery” slip that he usually gets from FedEx driver when he isn’t at home and expecting a package. He noticed that it wasn’t one of those…It was note, his green eyes scanned over the writing.

When he was done reading the note, it was a party invitation. He smirked, and crumpled up the note and threw it over in the wastebasket. He opened up the door, closed, and locked it behind him as he exited his house. He hopped on his motorcycle turned on the engine…letting it run for a few minutes for it to stabilize. He pressed his foot on the gas pedal and turned onto the highway. While driving, he liked glancing off to the scenery every once in while…When he looked on his left, he noticed a woman with a hood over her face speed by on his left.

She lured him down a dark and gloomy alleyway…The only thing illuminating anything was the moon. It made every shadow strange and eerily distorted under its glow. A gang of men appeared from the shadowed areas of the dark-alley. He cursed under his breath and pulled out his huge halberd. He swung it a few times at the first man; it went right through his neck as if he just cut through butter. The next man charged at him with a loaded handgun in one hand. The red-haired man smirked as he twisted his body around, slicing the man’s body clearly in half.

Another eight men came running at him, screaming “Damn You!” The red-haired man grinned from ear to ear. The eight men charged at him, wielding shotguns. They opened-fired on him; when one of them commanded the others to Cease fire, they stopped to see they did not see anything but a bullet-marked wall. The red-haired man had deflected the bullets, so the bullets went into the men. The next thing that could be heard was the screams of agony from the men; all eight of the men fell to the ground. Blood coated over them. The red haired-man stood on the eight corpses of the fallen-men. Then a man, a bold man came out from the shadows. He stood next to the hooded woman. “Daisuke, right?” He said. Daisuke looked back at him. “Yes, that’s me.” He replied, turning his body towards them. “You can stop now.” He said. He nodded. “We were waiting for you, Daisuke.” The mysterious man said. “What do you need?” The man named ‘Daisuke’ asked them.

“We want this girl dead,” The man handed Daisuke a picture of her; she was quite good looking. She had brown chestnut hair, it went down to her shoulders, she had a peach Complexion, and she had green eyes. “May I ask why?” Daisuke asked, looking at the picture of the girl. “She has committed a long string of murders; she even killed someone from our agency. In addition, she has killed too much; soon she will kill the top 10 assassin, if you kill her, I will reward you with one-hundred thousand dollars. If you take her patch, I’ll give you another five million.” The man said, he showed him a case, which was full of money. “She’s going to kill number 10, Takashi.” He announced. “You have no time-limit to kill her, the sooner, the better.” He said. Daisuke grinned. “Ok, I’ll take the job.” The man smirked and ex-tended his hand out to Daisuke and Daisuke took it and they shook, sealing the deal.

“Thank you for your help.” The man said. Daisuke looked at the picture again, and then put it away in his jacket pocket. The man and the hooded woman disappeared from the dark alleyway. Daisuke got back on his waiting motorcycle, and pressed on the gas pedal, speeding away from the scene.

Mikomi was in her house, preparing for the hunt to find the assassin ranked as “Number 10” She wrapped one holster around her thigh then the other around her other thigh, she placed two objects in them…just in case. She grabbed her sheathed blade and strapped that to her hip. She fastened the grenades, smoke bombs, and flash bombs to her utility belt.

She grabbed her black-tinted shades and placed them over her green eyes. When she was fully prepared, she kicked the door open, and exited…Still not bothering to lock up afterwards. Mikomi made her way through the parking lot and hopped on her motorcycle, revved the engine and pressed the gas pedal. She peeled out of the parking lot and turned onto the southbound highway towards the downtown part of town.

She reached the downtown subway in a short time; she parked her motorcycle in an area that is hidden from public eyes. She hopped off the bike. ‘So…This is where he resides…’ She thought to herself as she searched for the entrance. She followed the staircases she found. The staircases lead her further and further underground with each minute passed. She walked down them without making much of a sound.

The long staircase ended, she saw a few men standing in her way, some of them were welding heavy, spiked clubs, the odd thing is that some of these clubs were illuminated. The rest of the men were welding other types of weapons. ‘What’s this? Looks like they’re guarding number 10...This will be harder than I anticipated earlier.’ Mikomi though, mentally cursing under her damnable luck.

Mikomi pulled out a rope she packed with her earlier and tied one end to her utility belt

Moreover, threw the other end, which had a sharp grappling-hook-like feature that grasped the ceiling in a tight grip. She tugged on it twice to see if it could support her weight. Mikomi ran up against the wall, when she grabbed and winded up the rope so that she was higher up and silently sneaked over to the men…crawling…on the ceiling, the best she can with a rope and her feet. She pulled out one of the explosives from her utility belt and then pulled the pin.

Mikomi threw the explosive down below her. The explosive hit the men precisely. They all screamed and shouted in agony as they felt the heat and fire wiping over their bodies and white-hot, searing pain was the last thing they felt before the explosion ripped them into pieces, scattering their limbs and entrails all over the walls, floor, and ceiling. She smirked at her handy-work, untied the rope that was attached to the end of her utility belt, and fell towards the ground, landing on her feet, Mikomi grabbed her sword and turned it on, and she soundlessly walked even deeper into the corridors of the subway.

Tomomi ran down the stairs, she was wearing a black-tube dress that is above mid-thigh length and black arm-guards that started from her shoulder and ended at her fingers. She also wore a black spiked collar and long black boots that go above mid-thigh length. She continued to run down until she reached the bottom. She expected to see guards there, ready to attack anyone who ventures down this far.

They were not there; they were blown to bits, in pieces on the floor. Tomomi’s face distorted that into anger. ‘Someone was here first?!’ She thought angrily as she ran off. She just HAD to see the person that DARED to steal her kills.

Tomomi continued to venture forward, deeper into the subway, she stopped walking long enough to hear her surroundings…She heard the sound of metal hitting metal and the tell-tale sound of the blade being sheathed afterwards, she decided to move in closer, to get a better look. She can now see a figure what looked like to her like a female-body frame, a tall frame too, the next thing she heard was pain filled shrieks and screams of the dying men. ‘Who is this?’ She thought as she peered out to get a better look around, she saw the back of the person’s head. Tomomi growled and threw a chain whip at her and watched in triumph as it wrapped around her, effectively tying her arms and legs up…preventing movement. ’What?! Shit.’ Mikomi thought as her body met the cold, hard cement floor. She tried to use her strength to pull them off her, but it was all in vain, the chains were too strong and expertly made to “bust” out of and escape.

Tomomi walked in front of her. “Who do you think you are?! I was sent here to kill number 10!” She yelled in her face. “Why would they send someone like you?” Mikomi replied, snapping at Tomomi with her sharp yet soft voice. “HA! And I suppose they’d send a whore like you?” Tomomi replied. Mikomi growled at her with fierce. “Well look at you! At least I’m not wearing a tube-dress that reveals my boobs!” Therefore, it went on…After a long time of arguing they yelled “GO FUCK A DUCK, BITCH!” They yelled in each other’s face.

Mikomi was the first to speak after the long silence. “Tomomi…” Mikomi gasped. “M-Mikomi…” Tomomi replied. Mikomi nodded her head at her. Tomomi smiled at her and released the chains on Mikomi’s body. Tomomi hugged her. Mikomi smiled slightly and patted her head. However, someone approaching them ruined the moment. Mikomi and Tomomi heard could hear the footsteps. The man took a knife and tried to stab Mikomi with it. Nevertheless, Tomomi turned around kicked him in the head, hard. Blood came out from the man’s head. Then she took her poisoned dagger and sliced his throat in one fluid motion.

Mikomi smirked. “Where did you get that?” Tomomi whipped the blood off the dagger then turned to her. “I bought the dagger then bought poison to equip it with.” She replied. Mikomi nodded. “Well, number 10 isn’t going to kill himself, you know.” She said. Tomomi nodded and smiled! “Hai!” Mikomi looked at her blade. It was low again. She pushed the button and shook it up and down until it was re-charged again. “I’m ready, are you?” Mikomi said, looking at Tomomi. Tomomi nodded as a reply. They both ran to the mob of twenty men. “You take ten and I take ten.” Mikomi said before going after her half of ten men. Tomomi did the same.

Mikomi sliced at one man’s chest. Then jumped in the air and sliced his whole body in half. Electricity ran through the blade again, and she stabbed her blade right through the other man’s chest. She pulled it out quickly. ’Eight left.’ She thought. One out of the eight men came running at her, wielding an axe. Mikomi barely dodged. She got a minute cut on her cheek. She kept slicing and slicing at him until she moved her blade to the right, slicing off his head. Blood squirted out from the base of his neck…where his head had once been, and the corpse fell to the ground.

Mikomi gathered a strong electrical current throughout her blade. It was a little difficult for her to hold the blade in place. She finally threw her sword at the seven men that remained. The seven men screamed in agony as the electricity went all through-out their bodies, burning them inside and out. Mikomi picked up her sword that was on ground in a fast, swift move and stabbed one of the men. The sword went right through his chest, Mikomi yanked out the sword, causing blood to come bursting right out of the men’s chest.

The blood blinded the other six remaining men, preventing them from seeing. Though they could hear Mikomi’s footsteps approaching them in a slow, taunting pace. Mikomi brought up her katana above her head, and sliced three person’s bodies in half. Mikomi finished-off the last three men with another electrical current.

Tomomi wrapped a huge chain whip all around the ten men that came running at her. Then she took out her katana and sliced off a man’s head, more blood came spurting from his neck. “Damn you!” The other men said, seeing their teammate dead. Tomomi smirked, took needles from behind her, and threw them at the men. The needles hit them in their necks, and they all fell to the ground in a lifeless heap.

“I’m done, are you?” Mikomi asked, Tomomi looked at her and saw there was a shit load of blood on her. Then she looked at the men she killed. Tomomi smirked, a blood bath. “Yeah, I’m done.” She said. Mikomi put her ear to a door. She heard noises, and lots of them…“Stand back.” Mikomi whispered. Tomomi nodded, obeying her command. Mikomi kicked the door open with her foot and quickly took a smoke bomb from her utility belt.

She threw it into the door. Then it all became white. No one could see an inch in front if their noses. Mikomi put her shades over her eyes so the smoke could not block her eyes; Tomomi did the same thing. Then Mikomi un-fastened another explosive, and threw it in. The next thing that came into Mikomi and Tomomi’s ears was the screams of the men. They smirked. Mikomi and Tomomi then charged in.

Once Mikomi and Tomomi were in, they still saw a shit load of men there. Mikomi growled. “We can’t be able to take these things with just the two of us.” Mikomi cursed yet again under her damnable luck. Tomomi went back to where there are shadows. Mikomi looked at her as if she was a maniac. “What the hell are you doing?” She asked. “Shush.” Tomomi replied. In a few seconds, the shit load of men where being held down.

Mikomi smirked. Then she ran at them with her blade in hand, and cut all the men’s heads off. “I think number 10 is in here…” Mikomi whispered to Tomomi. Mikomi looked down at the sword’s battery it was low again. She pushed the button and shook it up and down until it was re-charged again. Tomomi looked at her weirdly. “What are you doing?” She asked. “It’s what I do to re-charge it.” Mikomi replied. “Re-charge, what are you talking about?” Tomomi asked.

“This katana uses Electricity to help me kill my enemies.” Mikomi replied. “Get ready.” She said, before she kicked the door open. Inside the room, you could see a man with orange-reddish spiky, messy hair. He was wearing a black suit. He looked towards the door; he glared slightly at the two-beautiful women. “Who are you ladies?” He asked, he stood up and walked towards them.

“Mikomi and Tomomi Hamazaki.” Mikomi replied. “And why are you here?” He asked, eyeing them up and down. “We’re here to kill you.” Tomomi said. Takashi smirked. “Give me a minute.” He said. Mikomi nodded and closed the door. “What do you think he’s doing?” Tomomi said. “I don’t know… he’s probably getting ready to fight us.” Mikomi replied to her. After that, the door came crashing down.

“Now, where were we?” Takashi said as he stepped out. He had a sharp sword; it looked like Mikomi’s. Mikomi stood in a fighting position. ‘Damn, I should have known better.’ She thought. Mikomi charged at him, Takashi tried to slice at her. However, Mikomi blocked. Then she swept her feet from below, and knocked him over.

Then she took her sword, and tried to stab him with it. Nevertheless, he took dodged. “My, my. A feisty one, eh?” He said. He kicked Mikomi in her stomach. Mikomi coughed up a little blood. “Damn you, bastard!” She said before stomping on his gut with her boot. He coughed up blood as well. Then he got up, and wiped the blood off with the back of his hand. “I’ll make you pay for that.” He said, glaring at Mikomi. Mikomi smirked, Then ran at him with her blade in hand. She sliced at him, slicing his hand. “Bitch.” He said.

Mikomi smirked. Then she threw an explosive at him, it nearly hit him by an inch. Mikomi appeared from the air and came down with her blade crackled with electricity in it. “Tomomi, kill him if I die or I get knocked out.” Mikomi whispered to her sister. “Hai!” Tomomi replied. Takashi barely dodged Mikomi’s attack. Mikomi growled. Then Takashi threw something on Mikomi’s shirtsleeve. It exploded and it sends Mikomi to a brick-cement wall.

Tomomi ran up to her. ‘Damn, she’s out cold.’ Tomomi put her down softly. She got mad at Takashi. Tomomi pulled her long chain whip; it had a blade curved at the end of it. She spun it around. Moreover, she slowly walked toward Takashi, her footsteps echoed. She swung her weapon at him; it knocked him over to the ground. “Ugh, bitch.” He said. Tomomi threw it at him again, it hit his heart, the blade was caught into it. She smirked and yanked out his organ.

Takashi’s loud scream echoed through the subway. Tomomi smirked, “D-Damn you.” Takashi said, before his eyes turned lifeless. Tomomi went back to Mikomi and checked her arm, it was bleeding badly, but not life-threatening. She took Mikomi’s arm and put it around her neck. Then she dragged Mikomi gently to a wall. She cleaned up her wound, and put some medicine on it, to clean it out.

Then she took a bandage, and wrapped it around her arm. She tied it together tightly. So it wouldn’t come apart. Then Mikomi groaned, her eyes opening halfway. Mikomi smiled at her, a smile that wasn’t seen for 5 years. “Thanks.” She said. She sat up. “Is he dead?” She asked. Tomomi nodded. “He’s over there.” She pointed to his corpse. “You can go; I need to get some things off of him. I’ll meet up with you at the bar up north.” Mikomi said, standing up. “You sure you’ll be ok by yourself?” Tomomi asked. She walked up beside her.

“Yeah.” Mikomi said, she walked over to Takashi’s corpse. Tomomi smiled. “Can you make an exit please?” She said. Mikomi took the last explosive from her utility belt, and she pulled the pin. She threw it over to the wall. It exploded and it made a huge hole. “Thanks.” Tomomi said, “Exiting” the subway. Mikomi nodded. “Alright, let’s see what you got.” Mikomi looked at his sword. ‘This thing is probably worth a lot of money.’ She thought, she smirked and strapped the sword next to hers on her hip.

She found his wallet. She took his assassin patch. Then she heard her cell-phone ring, she picked it up and looked at caller ID. She flipped it open. “Hello, this is Mikomi.” Her voice echoed into the phone. “Congratulations Mikomi, you are now ranked number 10.” Yamato said. “Thanks.” Mikomi said. she was still mad at him for what he did the other day. She hanged up. “Bastard.” She cursed under her breath.

Mikomi heard someone’s footsteps coming near her. She smirked and hid, she took her rope from her utility belt and threw the blade to the ceiling, she quickly tugged on it to make sure it would hold her up. She climbed on the wall again, and wound it up again, to make her higher in the air. She pulled out those two objects in her holsters. They were pistols…She pointed the barrel of the gun at the door, waiting for the person to come it.

A man with red-hair came in. He was wearing a dark-red long shirt with buckles on it, dark red pants that go to his feet, and red boots. ‘What’s he doing here?’ Mikomi thought, she kept her two pistols pointed at him. “Heh, looked like someone already killed him.” The man said. ‘Now, I know she’s here somewhere.’ He thought. Mikomi fired a bullet at him, he stepped to the left at the last second, dodging the bullet. He then heard it ricochet at an oblique angle from the wall. He looked up to see a woman pointing two guns at him. She was up side down. Mikomi un-attached the rope from her utility belt again and she fell towards the ground, landing on her feet.

The man looked at her, and examined her face. The same exact face was in the picture. Mikomi looked at him, her pistols still pointing at him. “Who are you?” She asked him. “My name is Daisuke, sweetie.” Daisuke said. “And I guess that you’re Mikomi?” He said, eyeing her body up and down. “Yes I am, why?” She said, she put her guns back in her holsters. “Because my dear, I’m assigned to kill you.” Daisuke said, smirking at her. Mikomi gasped. “Kill me?” She asked him. Daisuke nodded. Mikomi growled with fiercely. Then she smirked slightly. “Well, sorry, I’m not ready to die yet.” She said. She grabbed her blade from her hip and turned it on.

Daisuke grinned, and pulled out his huge-ass halberd. ‘Holy shit.’ Mikomi thought, looking at it. “Anything you say, babe.” Mikomi quickly gathered electricity into her blade. However, she had no time; Daisuke already ran at with his halberd and swung it at her. Mikomi blocked it, barely. Electricity came into her blade and she swung it at him, their weapons were against each other’s until Daisuke threw her off. He swung his halberd at her, but Mikomi bent down so it could not hit her, then she knocked him over by sweeping her feet underneath him, pulling his own feet out from under him.

Daisuke fell to the ground, and got back up quickly. ‘Damn, he’s a monster.’ Mikomi thought. Daisuke threw a grenade at her, Mikomi dodged. She ran up a wall, and then pushed off. She landed behind Daisuke; she took a knife from her belt and put it to his neck. “Who sent you?” Mikomi whispered into his ear. Daisuke grinned. “I can’t say.” He said, he used his elbows and smashed Mikomi into a wall. Mikomi groaned from the impact. She quickly got off from the wall. She noticed down on her stomach there was a wound. She held it with her hand.

Daisuke looked at her and couldn’t help but smirk. Mikomi shot a glare at him. “I’m going to send you straight to hell.” Mikomi said before grabbing her blade and charging at him again, this time she came quickly. She managed to get a cut on his cheek. Mikomi looked outside and noticed it was dark out. ‘Shit, I have to get out of here.’ She thought. She took a flash bomb from her belt and pulled the pin. As the smoke was filling the room, Mikomi got outside of the “exit” she made. Daisuke was already out of the smoke and standing in front of her. Mikomi growled and cursed.

“Trying to get away, sweetie?” Daisuke said, standing in front of her. Mikomi smirked at him. “Kind of.” She replied. ‘I can’t use my katana against him.’ Mikomi thought, she sheathed her katana back at her hip. Daisuke looked at her weirdly. ‘She’s putting her weapon away?’ He smirked when Mikomi pulled out her two pistols from her holsters. “Now that’s not fair, baby.” Daisuke said to her. Daisuke put away his halberd, and pulled out his. They both had their guns pointed at each other. Mikomi made the first move in attacking. She shot her first bullet at him. He dodged and shot back at her.

Mikomi dodged, barely. They both started shoot rapidly at each other. After a load of gunshots were heard. Smoke was everywhere, it was blinding too. Mikomi got onto the top of a small building, holding her shoulder in pain. ‘Damn that bastard.’ Mikomi thought. She dug the bullet out of her shoulder. Then she saw that Daisuke was on the ground below the building she was on, she smirked and decided to surprise him. She jumped from the top of it, and then fell to where he was.

Mikomi fired at him as she was in the air. However, he looked up and moved away to where she would crash. Mikomi growled and used the rope from her belt and threw the blade to a cement wall. It got a hold of it and it swung her to it. When Mikomi was on the ground, she reloaded her pistols. After she did that, she felt the distinct cool of a gun-barrel pressed up against her temple.

“I win.” Daisuke whispered to her ear. Mikomi turned her face over to see his, and their eyes met. She smirked and kicked his groin, Daisuke yelled in pain when she did. Mikomi took the advantage and ran off to her motorcycle. She quickly turned on the engine and pressed on the gas pedal. She quickly went off to find Tomomi at the bar up north. ‘Why is that guy after me?’ Mikomi thought as she rode on her bike.

When Mikomi arrived at the bar, she kicked the door open with her foot and looked for Tomomi. She found her sitting; she looked like she was waiting. She walked over to her. Tomomi looked up to see her. “What happened to you?” Tomomi asked, looking at her up and down. “A guy named “Daisuke” came and attacked me; he said he was hired to kill me.” Mikomi said, taking a seat next to Tomomi.

“Why would someone kill you?” She asked, taking a sip of her drink. “I don’t know…” She replied. “But he’s a monster, I was only able to put a cut on his cheek, and he shot me once in my shoulder.” Mikomi said, pointing to the spot on her shoulder. “Hmmm…You could use some more training.” Tomomi said.
