Leave Me Be

Cling and grasping

with tears in her eyes,

She wrapped her cold fingers

around his whispering frantically

for him not to let go,

For if he did

she would disappear into oblivion,

But with his eyes cold and hard

he managed to unhook her grasp,

And as he did so

he said with a viciousness in his voice,

"Leave me be,"

With that, she faded

into nothing and left him there

with his malicious smile and cruel smirk.
