Pick up your gun, Soldier
It’s about that time
Pick up your gun, Soldier
It’s the end of the line
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Fight the good fight
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Do what you think is right
Pick up your gun, Soldier
And load up your ammo
Pick up your gun, Soldier
And pray you won’t miss
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Take the General’s orders
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Take your best shot
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Aim your weapon
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Remember your loved ones’ faces
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Listen to the sounds of war
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Watch death come and go
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Don’t be afraid
Pick up your gun, Soldier
Your death will not be in vain

A/N – Just kind of a tribute to the troops. This poem randomly hit me during class. I hope this wasn’t offensive in the least bit. This is my first poem sort of, and constructive criticism would be much appreciated. I’m not much of a poet, by I would like to improve.
