before i put my hat on this morning, i poured some sunshine in with it.

it was the sunshine that was missing from the world.

there were exponential amounts.

i’ve spent my life collecting these pieces

and now i’ve come to put it back where it belongs.

i hope that today

when it seems like the world is mocking you

you’ll just loosen up a little

and gather those bits of yellow

here and there

and shine bright.
