A Stranger In My Own Lands

I am a stranger in my own lands.

My friends can't know what it's like

To grow up in my clan, my culture

So while this does not keep us apart

There will always be that divide

That separation, that rift.

I went to the lands of my forefathers

My ancestors, my kin

But I was a stranger there too.

I am raised in two cultures

Forged as one.

While this makes me stronger

The only thing I truly have

Is my family.

Because I am a stranger in my own lands

No matter which one I'm in.
