The Stick and String

My first story told by inanimate objects. So please be gentle.

Part 1----Stick’s life

This part is all about a very friendly guy name Stick. His name is Stick because…he’s a stick in the woods. Right now, this is his vacation from school heading for the 4th grade.

“Hey! What’s up my man! How are you doing?” Stick’s friend, Stone, asked.

“Oh, nothing unusual, just listening to nature is all.” Stick said.

So they listen to nature for a while.

“Fascinating…say Stick, when are you starting to learn that you got leave nature alone for a while and man up a bit without you looking like a fool?” Stone asked.

“Stone, you and I know that we are nature! Me, a part of a tree bark, might grow up to be the biggest tree in the world. You, a big rock…that’s a rock,” Stick told.

Then another thing walked to them, but he wasn’t friendly.

“Oh shit! What do you want now, Leaf?” Stone said.

“Well, there’s an amusement park that just opened a few seconds ago. And like it or not, you’ll take the grand tour with me!” Leaf said.

“This will not be pretty!” Stick said.

At the ‘Amusement Park’.

“Is this the amusement park?? It’s a bunch of toilets!” Stick asked.

“Of course it is. Why don’t you take a jump at it?!” The leaf asked as he punched Stick into a toilet, then Stone to break Stick in half.

Days of recovering later. Stick has stared at this picture of him into two. And he then realizes that he needs a life. No one really likes him except Stone (because Stick does his homework for him.) But he needs to get a life or kill himself, he thought.

So he try and try, but no reward! That is, until soon…

Part 2----String’s life

This part is all about a sort-of emo girl name String. Her names String because she’s a string! (I had to say that again.) She’s also vacationing school heading to a 5th grade level.

Like Stick, she has a pretty normal life. She has her friend, Rope, an idiot that hangs around her name Scissors. Plus, she’s not too popular either.

But she lives in the city, she’s a bit more popular than Stick, (bit not overly popular) and she’s a bit emo, like I said.

“It was very nice for your father to invite us over for another steak out,” Rope said.

“Sure, whatever. He says that he has an important announcement. So everyone has to come,” String said as they walk towards the steak out.

“Please don’t tell me that have to include Scissors!” Rope whined.

“Why bother trying to invite her? She’ll come anyway!” String cried.

At the steak out, where it has steak, soda, and best of all, a mini arcade. (String is sort of rich)

“Everything smells so good! I can’t wait any longer!” Rope said.

“(Sigh) Go ahead, I’ll be right behind you.” String said.

Then she saw her ‘friend’ in the bushes.

“Needle! What are you doing here? You that Dad hate you!” String said worrily.

“Don’t worry; I’m just here for the announcement. I won’t get caught!” Needle promised.

Later.

“I have an announcement everyone! There are a lot of starving objects in the woods!” String’s dad started.

“That’s typical of your dad! Always helping the environment,” Rope said.

“But sadly, we can’t stay in two places at once, so that’s why we’re moving to the Woods…maybe forever!” he ended.

“WHAT!!!!!!!” The girls screamed.

So after the party, String told her dad that she doesn’t want to go. But she doesn’t have too much of a choice, so yeah, she almost cut a part of herself to end it all until her father caught her. Then they finally move to the Woods.

A/N: That’s all of chapter one, folks. Chapter 2 is where the real romance sets in.

P.S., I’m not trying to say that the Woods is Africa and the City’s America.
