Shut Your Mouth

Don't call me a whore,

Just because I've got a boy I might sort of adore.

Don't say I'm a slut,

It's not my fault you're stuck in a rut.

Stop spreading your rumors,

Just because you have no sense of humor.

If you can't tell I'm joking with them,

Maybe we shouldn't be friends.

For the last time I will proclaim,

I treat all my guys and girls the same.

When all is said and done,

If I need a hug I'm getting one.

I won't be restricted by your stupid rules,

So stop telling me I'm not cool.

I have a guy for a best friend,

Will that put the rumors to an early end?

You say we hug too much,

That whenever we're together we always seem to touch.

Maybe that is true,

To some degree we usually do.

But he is so utterly mine,

And we've never really drawn the line,

Between friends and way too close,

It never mattered I suppose.

We never really cared,

Anything that happened between us was a silly dare.

I trust my friends enough to fall asleep in their arms,

I wasn't aware that was enough to set off your alarms.

When we next meet we'll all be piled on my couch,

If you've got a problem,

Shut your mouth.

So I was recently informed by a girl I used to know that my actions were...less than lady like.
