“Hurry up, Rogue!” Li called, running ahead of him. “Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!”

‘God, I miss those days…’

“The boat leaves in five minutes! If we don’t make it there, we’ll automatically lose the contest!” she reminded him, running back and tugging his arm. “Come on, I know you can walk faster!”

Rogue sighed and picked up his pace, and the two soon made it to the docks. The boat they needed to be on was a simple passenger ship, nothing too fancy or too old.

“Alright, we made it!” Li said, bounding up the ramp and onto the deck.

Hours went by and the sun was setting behind the horizon; they had yet to reach their destination. Rogue stood out on deck, leaning against the railing and staring out across the glittering ocean.

“So,” sounded Li’s voice as she walked up to him. She stood beside him and stared at the water a moment before looking up at him. “Once we’ve won and gotten the prize money, how ‘bout you take me on a cruise? Being a treasure hunter is great and all, but you gotta take a vacation once in a while!”

“Fine,” he replied simply, still staring out across the ocean’s surface.

“You know,” she began, looking back out across the water and folding her hands behind her back. “We aren’t as different as you think.” She smiled lightly and turned around, walking off the deck and down to the cabins below to get some sleep.

‘We aren’t… as different?’ Rogue was left alone on the deck to ponder his thoughts as the trip longed on, each passing second bringing them closer to their destination.
