Locked up behind closed doors

Stolen forever?

Would they tell of all the times

Would they tell of Mom on the other side

Drowning herself in her alcohol

What her husband did to her only child?

Would they tell of a father's sick game

Played with his little girl

Of screams shrieked

Of tears released

Of how many times a single heart could break
