Landing

The skyline changes

As we pass by

Vantage points obscuring

Until we’re not quite sure

What we actually see-

Churches with steeples

Or skyscrapers with crosses

Make the changes stop

As we walk through

Deserted streets

Shadows obscuring the fall

And the rubble crushing

The leaves- eternal carnage

As the skyline warps over time

No more pain and no more

Death

Immortal clarity arrives on

The wings of a crashing jet plane

Maybe the overgrown worlds

Aren’t real- and the floors

Are cracking under our feet

Hard tiles turned to dust

The skyline’s changing

Showing the shattered glass

Ass we pass by skeletons of

The last supper.
