Awkward

Saliva sticks in my throat

Clogging up cramped spaces

Like sly super glue

And blood scrapes through

Soiled veins, like shattered glass

Ringing in my ears, throbbing

On its ecstatic path through my body

And my eyes ache and blur

Only to blink away the fuzz and

Ache again in awed wonder

My heart pounds painfully

In frantic pulses mimicking passion

As my crush just walks on past
