“Only-You”

On the moonlit night that gives the snow a glaze of love’s first touch,

No one could know the light’s meant for us, a silent prayer of acceptance from the many souls around us in a joyous song,

Love’s first touch, the first kiss of love’s beginnings,

You and I know this very well, as we know it in our souls,

Only those who have seen the full moon’s light when they have found their real love,

Understand a word of the chorus singing acceptance for us, and for only us, that night.

-Roxanne January

“Love-Light”

Love’s first light touching our hearts,

Opening gates of emotions only few could know,

Validating the rights of our love,

Even some of our friends are snakes in the grass.

Love will keep our hearts as one,

In the times of need,

Greater powers we will never understand keep us safe when we are alone,

Heart’s callings will return us to the other,

Tomorrow will always be worth waiting for, no matter where the road takes us.

-Roxanne January

“You changed me”

Facing tomorrow used to be something I was afraid of,

I met the one to change my life, and I can’t wait until the next day as evening sets.

It was scary to think of what would happen if I fell asleep,

But I met someone who changed my mindset for the better.

You.

“All Along”

Time has shown me many things,

But the most memorable one is when I felt like my heart was destroyed.

It came to head that,

After so much denial,

You had my heart, and I had yours,

All Along.
