Prologue

The Legend

It was perhaps the dawn of a new era of the Earth when darkness finally covered the land, the sea, and the skies. It was the beginning of the end, the beginning of all evil to rise up and take control of whatever was left of the pitiful planet that we used to call home. Darkness was at last rising, it was taking over the planet, and there was nothing to stop it. Blood had been shed, lives have been lost, and the very existence of the world has befallen into the hands of the evil and murderous demons that many have come to name as the Vamps. The Vamps have sought to drink of the living essence called blood, seeking to kill all who have it, and to drink all that has spilled over the twenty years of their existence. Leading these creatures is the one called the Prince, a powerful and dominating young man who is neither alive, nor dead, but simply existing within the nature of power and death. He seeks to revive this world, giving it a new birth, and receiving the world into a new beginning for it. This new world that he calls "paradise" is nothing more than a gruesome realm of bloody skies and dead lands that consume everything within its path. The Prince is hungry, the Prince is hunting, and yet…that desire…that craving will never be fulfilled. It is merely a desire to have, to possess, to keep, and to cling to whatever desire that he has. That is why he kills, to discover what this unnamed desire is, to know just what it is, and what he can do to fill its hunger. That is why the Vamps exist, though how the Prince came into existence is the true mystery of life itself….

The Agency is a group of people that fight and search to discover just what exactly was the disease and the cure for it that has caused such massive destruction and terror in the world. Twenty years has this curse been here upon this world, twenty years have people died and suffered at the hands of these demons. Led by one of the greatest and youngest scientists in the world, the Agency seeks to destroy and cure all the creatures that have fallen under these vampire-like symptoms. As the Agency seeks to find a cure, it also seeks to protect the humankind from these creatures. Many people have fallen and died due to this unexplained phenomenon, but those who have not been effected are living their lives in the normal reality that has been presented to them, a reality that is blind and deaf to the dark world that it has been fantasized within, or have been slain and slaughtered by the hands of those creatures. The Agency searches for the cause of this strange apocalypse inside what used to be our home, and a way to rid of it. They seek to find a remedy of some kind, yet, for twenty years, no remedy has been found, nor has a source to this apocalypse that has been placed on us. The world looks to God, searching, waiting, wanting, and praying for a savior to release them from the prison of fear, violence, death, and blood that surrounds them. Their prayers have been answered, as I have been given life once again….

I am the one they look for, I am the one they are searching and waiting for. The poor, innocent lives that are left in this world, the innocent souls that have not been effected, but merely hiding and living in this glass world where it was only a matter of time before the Vamps found them, broke through the glass that is their safety and shelter, and sought to kill them. It was only a matter of time before this world would be extinguished, and its place would stand a new world of bloody skies and dead-filled lands. It was only a matter of time, yet time cannot restrain me. I am above time, stronger than time, and I am stronger than both life and death. I am not effected by these creatures which terrify the world and leave all trembling. I am not afraid of the Prince, who leaves all cowering and hiding at the very mention of his name. I am not afraid, I am not weak, I am not dead, nor am I alive. Who am I? You may call me Alli, I am a Hunter for the Agency…and I have come to deliver you….
