She’s slipping off the edge, again
It doesn’t take an idiot
To decode what she says

It’s just another Wednesday skipping school
Hanging with her friends, acting like a fool
It’s just another Friday night
Another chance
At her last day of life

She doesn’t ask how I’m doing anymore
Never smiles like she did before
She goes on like she’s ok with what she’s doing
Can’t see past it, but who’s she fooling?

It’s the little things she does that make me wonder
But I’d hate to ask and be a bother
I may be naïve but I’m not a idiot, I understand
Why you think it’s good you can

No one else thinks it’s wrong
But they won’t morn you when you’re gone
They won’t realize you’re not here
All because you’ve got no fear

If tonight’s your last one here, I have no way to know
I can only hope that you don’t go
For you, it’s just another weekend gone
Another sun set with no hope for dawn
