A.N: An experimental love poem (I've never tried one before), but it still seems to have my familiar darker edge. well like it or hate it, tell me what ya think.

Night and Day

In this darkness wrought, I have seen

Nightmares beyond madness, borne

From a twisted mind, a raging storm

Of shades and demons has been

The bane of my existence. But you,

An angel from heaven sent;

A blessing, your purity rent

Apart the tempest as it drew

It’s last breath. Quiet, serene

A peace I do not know within me

Rises; such tranquillity

Boggles the mind, is this a dream?

Let it be not so, i pray.

For if such sweet emotion is not real,

Nor these tender affections that i feel,

Then in this dream I will forever stay.

Is it wrong to find solace in a dream?

For a creature of the night

To seek the comforting light

That shields its eyes from the harsh gleam

Of raw reality? It may be weak

Or cowardly fearing the night of black

Which was my home, but I can’t turn back

I’ve seen you, and I wish I had words to speak

Of the joy and gentle loves that take

Me nearer mad than satisfied,

But it’s worth it; I’ve tried

And carried on for your sake.

And though you my muse have banished away

The inspiration of the darkest night

You stay with me: my warmth, my light,

The summer shine of my sweetest day.
