for creative writing, we had to write something that tells about what we like and dont like. this is what i came up with. i kinda embeded the stuff in the poem but i hope you can still tell what it is. hope u like it!!

Who I Am

I sit alone
Shivering in the cold
Fear sets in
Only thing to make it worse
Spiders crawl up my leg
I brush them off, cringing
Raised voices in the next room
Certain words filled with hate
I tense
Panic attack

Think happy thoughts
Mission trip to Guatemala
I smile at the memories
Wandering England
Faking a British accent
I giggle at the thought
Books line the walls
Waft of pages, old and new
Words, my own,
Take me away
Fly though the sky
Impossibilities come alive
Magical places with my friends
We laugh and smile
My heart swells at the thought
Yes, embrace me in warmth
Hug me, love me, sing to me
Holding my white cat close
Stuffing lost to the years

I am the one unnoticed
Watching from the corner
I am the one that fights
With black around her waist
I am the one painting your mind
Brush strokes of ink and dreams
I am the one smiling in the undergrowth
Laughing at you, lost
I am the one running my hand though your hair
Innocent smile and eyes see you
Calm
Absolute calm surrounds me
I smile
