The Sun Rises Here
The sun rises here,
As it does everywhere
else.
But it bears a
different face,
Of every plant it sees
something felt.
The sun sets here,
As it does everywhere
else.
But not with the loss
of light,
Not even with the loss
of sight,
But with a loss of
despair as dreams take flight.
