I used to be a puzzle

almost complete

but you came by

and knocked me down

now I’m alone

mingling with dust bunnies

and crying out loud

in hopes of being heard

staring up at the sky

wishing to see light

but I’m just a handful

of puzzling pieces

scattered on the floor.
