Just something I wrote after thinking about my grandmother. I kind of liked it, so I thought I’d share it :)

Please review.

This life is but a passing

The merest earthly touch of souls

Before moving forward and returning home.

We go through it in an instant

One glorious burst of light and shadow.

-

So scatter my ashes to the sea

And I’ll come home again.

Speak my name to the wind

And I’ll sing for you and never end.

See my face in the fire

And my memory will keep you warm.

Bury your sadness in the earth

And I’ll teach you not to mourn.

So, any thoughts?
