A/N
I Heart is offically back and will continue to the very end of the heartfelt story filled with fantasy, heartache and the ultimately desire of the heart, true love. This prelude, is in fact, the original prolouge of I Heart but the hard drive with the updated version is not avaliable and can not retrieve the story. However, Episode I & 2 are the only episodes that are completed and are not in that hard drive, so expect the final revision of both coming soon. The following Episodes however are in the process and are being worked on as you speak, posting the premiere Episode 3, and above, on Fictionpress some time later this month. That is all I want to say at this moment and the A/N will change once everything is back on track.

P.S. I do want to apologize for my old fans about the story and I know how much you want this story to continue in the past...your wish has come true at last.

:: Prelude ::
The Dream Vision

I had a dream last night
It was about a boy
He had the most beautiful platinum blonde hair I ever seen
And pair of the most alluring golden eyes
I was watching him running through darkness
I wanted to look somewhere else
But I couldn't look away...
...Or I didn't want to look away
He had the saddest expression I ever seen in my life
Then I was left alone
And then something happened after
Was it really all just a dream?

It was the darkest of night that she had seen a boy running through a field of nothing but blackness. His slim figure gave off a dim aura that flicked ever so slightly and gently. His silky platinum hair arched down his forehead and almost covered his pure golden eyes that had a glow of a newborn star. Each time his foot touched the ground, a soft dimmed light scarcely rippled through the eerie realm of darkness. She didn’t know why he was running but her eyes were transfixed on him almost like a trance. She desperately tried to look away but couldn’t or wouldn’t almost as if it was her purpose to watch him. She could feel herself slowly losing the will to do anything but quietly watch him and was completely caught up in the surreal moment.

The boy stopped and the shadows that surrounded him fled like it was afraid of something indescribable. A smooth crystal-clear lake appeared before him and a green grassy field that stretched further than any eye could see was now behind him. He took his time heading toward the edge of the lake, with every footfall causing a grey light to ruffle through the grassy surface like wind. He vaguely looked down and observed his reflection on the mirror-like surface. The way she was watching the entire time felt like a movie; as she was able to see him, however, did he noticed that he was being watched or knew that she was the one watching? None of this made sense to her or why she was even watching him.

The vision she was seeing as her own eyes began to move and close in onto the seemingly unexpected boy. It moved until it was no directly in front of him and could clearly see him staring down at his watery reflection. His face was very pale; too innocent, and young but she wasn’t sure how young though. If only she could get a better look at him; immediately, the boy titled his head so it was level with her. His bangs moved slightly and a single golden eye came into view that instantly mesmerized her in a deeper chance. Her eyes locked with the boy’s piercing glance and it felt like her soul was captured from that alluring golden eye. The sudden movement of the boy startled her and gotten scared like he was reading her mind. She thought she wanted to see his face and her wish came true. Her heart started beating fast and pounded fiercely in her chest.

Many questions had bombarded her mind all at once like who was he, where did he come from and had he realized she was watching him? Why was she even watching and what’s was going to happen next? All of these questions but not a single one could be answered. This was a part of a mystery that she didn’t like when she knew nothing and being the last person to find out about everything. She didn’t want to be here and wanted to be home. She wanted to be somewhere safe and somewhere where she’s in control. While her mind whirled with conflicts, she couldn’t help but stare hypnotically at the boy this entire time. However, the boy continue to gaze at her in a deep sadden expression. Like he knew what was going through her mind and didn’t quite know what to say to her. His body was motionless as a photo except his hair moved with the faint wind. She could not help sense that he wasn’t quite human.

Now even more questions flooded her mind. What exactly was he and was he the one holding her here and unable to do anything? Did he know what was going through her mind or what was going to happen next? Her heart beat faster and faster from the panic of not knowing anything about him or this place. Her heart pounded wildly beneath her chest like it wanted to escape. Her breathing became irregular under the stress and frustration. Was this a dream? This had to be a dream; she wanted it to be a dream so she could wake up and forget it ever happened. Yes, she wanted to wake up and forget she ever saw him. His golden eyes continue to blaze in front of him starring directly at her with her eyes, unwilling to move or even blink, returned the gaze. She wanted to wake up more than anything. Wake up and forget! She wanted to get away from this place far as possible! She wanted to be free.

Let me go! The words raged violently throughout her mind but the next thing that happened put her to rest instantly. “Don’t be afraid, Gate Maiden, you are free and safe right now. No harm will come to you,” he whispered in an almost inaudible voice.

The wild beating of her heart ceased and her breathing calmed down almost instantly. She was puzzled and bewildered of the sound of his voice. His voice was so soft that it caused a shiver down her spine directly to her soul and felt an overwhelming peace; felt protected with just the sound of his voice. Although he spoke his voice was gone with the wind just like that and the deathly silence enveloped her once again. She wanted to flee but what did he mean that he told her that she was free? What did he mean? She kept repeating the question in her head and nothing made any sense; not a single thing.

His head faltered back down to the liquid mirror. His hair moved back in place obscuring his eyes. Within seconds, she already missed his face and his mystical golden eyes. She clearly remembered his young and innocent face. Also, the great sadness and sorrow that it showed, yet, she couldn’t exactly remember the details of his golden eyes. Even with him staring at her all that time, she couldn’t recall anything about them. Just their bright and mesmerizing glow.

With his head down and without warning, his body violently arched forward. He held his arms close to his body and tightened his fists like he was in pain. A single white-feathered and black-feathered wing sprouted viciously from each of his shoulder blades. He quickly straightened himself and arched back, relaxing. His wings began to stretch out to their full length of a few yards. She gasped! This was unexpected and extremely shocking to her. At least the question about whether or not he was human could be crossed off, she thought to herself.

The boy slowly turned around creating afterimages blurred effect. The mysterious effect followed his every movement. Once his back was to her, he walked away in utter silence. His wings wrapped tightly against his back, acting like a regular cloak of two different colors. She wanted to catch up to him but she was unable to move. The darkness returned as the boy vanished and shadowed the surroundings. It came like an infection. She was left viewing the darkness alone. She didn’t want to be alone. She tried with all of her might to reach out to him. She began to force herself forward with all the strength she could muster. She was finally able to close her eyes, making her concentrate on nothing but moving. She gave one last thrust forward and opened her eyes to the sight of her room. She threw herself up from her bed reaching out. But something went wrong.

Her room and bed disappeared instantly at soon as she reached out. Her body straightened out and now floated in the same blackness that surrounded the boy. She couldn’t describe it any better than space without the stars but that she could breathe, which helped. Her brown eyes nervously looked around as they were darting at randomly directions. She was trying to find the boy since he was the only one she knew who could be here. She walked barefoot through the vastly space of nothingness; unable to tell which direction she was going. Finally, deciding it pointless to continue walking, she stopped. Where was she? And why was she here anyway? She grabbed the sides of her head with her hands and dropped down to her knees in frustration.

Right below her, something started appearing and was slowly extending outward. She looked down and saw a big picture, as it expanded through the darkness. She realized it wasn’t a picture and that she was now floating in the clear blue sky. She gasped. Down below she saw what seemed like a grand battle between two, maybe three sides. Her eyes widened at the sight of people with white or black-feathered wings helping what she hoped were normal humans. Her mouth hung open out of fear at the sight of what they were facing. Dark shadowed creatures. Each having featureless body, with clawed hands and foots. They were huge and violent as several winged creatures and humans fought together against one. Finally, she saw a familiar winged creature among those that were helping the humans. He has the same black and white wings that extended outwards from his slim body.

It was the same platinum haired boy she had seen earlier that was running through the darkness. There was no trace of the same sad expression he once had. His face was still young though. She helplessly watched, and felt totally useless as the battle below her unfolded. He was on a streak killing the shadowed creatures all by his self. Still observing the battle, her eyes fell on a group of females. They were no older than she was and were standing in a five-point star formation. Their hands smoothly twisted in unusual movements and strange hand-signs. Most likely a spell, she thought. An enormous bright star-pentagram glyph appeared below them and a powerful aura shot out from it, swallowing the girls. The spell had been cast and a gate suddenly appeared over the epic battle between the races. NO! She screamed silently. She saw that the winged creatures and the boy were still fighting the shadows.

Alas, it was too late when they noticed the gate above them. The gate quickly opened and had a vacuum effect. All of them were instantly sucked inside, without even giving a warning. The platinum boy she had come to know was gone completely. Tears formed in her eyes and trailed down her face. Why did they do that? Why would they use that spell on their own allies? She closed her eyes and turned her head to one side crying. Her body drifted downward and she opened her eyes when she felt the ground below her. She looked at the group of females and her eyes widened. One of them looked exactly like her. She was identical to her. What was going on? Who was she? She ran towards her twin reaching for her, but a hand appeared from the side. The hand gently lowered onto her arm and darkness engulfed everything like before. Her eyes locked onto the hand and raised her head to look at whom it belonged.

“Do you know who you are, Gate Maiden?” the platinum-haired boy calmly asked the young girl. His golden eyes once again hypnotize as she stared at them. His voice soothed every doubt she ever had and made her feel safe.

“I don’t know,” she nervously answered in a silent whisper. Holding back her tears, “Who are you?”

The boy simply smiled. He used his right hand to lightly brush her raven black hair. He then moved aside her strands and placed behind one of her ears. “My name is Seraphen, Gate Maiden.”

“Seraphen,” she slowly replied under her breath, “Why do you keep calling me Gate Maiden?”

“Because it’s who you are. You are a gate keeper and it’s your destiny.”

“I don’t know any of this.”

“The time will come for that,” he replied more slowly and had a deep sadness in his voice.

“What was that vision I saw?” Her teary eyes searched for answers within his.

“That was only…a memory.” He looked away toward the darkness and then closed his eyes. He returned his gaze once more and then sighed. “I have to go now, Gate Maiden. Please be well the next time we meet.”

His black and white wings stretched out from his back to their full wingspan. Feathers from both wings were moving loosely in place as he was cautiously stepping back. He watched her closely and noticed she was struggling with the words she wanted to form next. He smiled once last time before his wings quickly wrapped around his body like a blanket. The black and white feathers abruptly came loose. It now fluttered around the two like flowers caught dancing in wind. She rushed for him once again, but in a swift motion, the wings unwrapped itself. The boy was gone and left more feathers. The darkness that surrounded her started cracking. It suddenly shattered into pieces and she used her arms to shield her face. She lifted her body up from her bed and her eyes fearfully looked upon her room. Several minutes had passed and she calmly lied back down now wide-awake. Was that really all just a dream?
