limitless

I remember when life seemed limitless,
the sky was an ocean with clouds, and
the sun shone, lighting up the earth.

We believed our dreams would come true,
that's what you did with childhood,
filling their imaginations with grand
endeavours, believing they could come true.
Oh how wrong we were. For some people, anyway.

Life isn't as limitless as we once thought, once dreamed,
our aspirations, fading away, into long forgotten memories.

We walk through life on dreams.
