Can I say it stings a little?
Can I say it stings a lot?
The moment I have something good to share;
Something you had pushed me to...
When I am finally there;

You're not.

It makes me lock down.
It makes me lock out
Everyone else who had a chance,
Because if you can, then they can -
And that

I can do without.

Joy hasn't become misery,
Excitement hasn't become dread,
But, to be honest, where they should be
It's become completely quiet instead.
I should be happy, I should feel something...

I don't.

And I can't lay the blame by you,
And believe me, I don't intend to.
I never imagined this day would come:
A freedom won - if small, insignificant.
Too small to trouble you with.

Funny how that works...
