Exodus '08

The world's gone awry
But don't worry baby,
Things'll get better.
We'll leave this place
And find the greener valleys.
Through burned-out cities,
Broken countries,
Shattered mountains,
And black oceans,
We'll find a better place to live.
This is our Exodus '08.

The people who control us
Want us rounded up,
And placed in the brown pastures
That we just left.
Don't you worry baby;
I'll take care of them.
We'll fight with hands and blades,
Aces and spades,
Lryics and bass.
We'll find our way around the barbed fences.
This is our Exodus '08.

And it seems like no one cares;
Neighbors hide
And children get shot by children.
But don't you worry baby.
I'll protect you even after our hearts stop.
We'll run from this place,
Escape from the violence,
The habits,
The ideals,
The Prisoners and the Jailers.
This is our Exodus '08.
