We were so young then
Just look at us now
Confused but still friends
Can’t figure out how

So much is said
In those gazes we share
Hanging on to the thread
The feeling’s so rare

Between us sparks fly
Words never spoken
Our hearts still entwined
For a moment unbroken

We can’t seem to let go
Of those feelings so deep
As we continue to grow
Each other’s hearts we will keep

We’ve been through so much
Fought side by side
To hope we do clutch
To our fears we are tied

Fate’s been so rough
We’ve been ripped apart
We’ve both had enough
Don’t know where to start

We can’t just give in
This will turn around
The wire is thin
But so hard is the ground

We need to stay strong
The end must be in sight
We’ve fought for so long
We will make things right

We were so young then
Just look at us now
Confused but still friends
Can’t figure out how
