it's quite early
before dawn
my man is snoring
incessantly
and i am straightening magnets
on the fridge door
every 30 seconds
almost obsessively
it's just sort of a way
to pass time
i mean sort of a moment
kind of like committing
the perfect crime
you just have to somewhat
own it

we are offering money
to the poor
some used bandages
for the sick
could the dying use
a manmade machine
so they can choose between
which unmentionable
choice to pick?
i am caught
between a hard place
and an ever-fast paced stampede
i am cracking open knuckles
while unloosing
a few notched buckles
