Captured

The first night we spent together was great

You were so kind and generous

And whispered words ever so sweet

Your arm went around me to hold me close

For the first time that day I didn’t feel alone

You touched my face so lightly as you gazed into my eyes

Your eyes looked at my mouth and back in a silent question

With a smile I answered your question and you kissed me

The feeling was so great I almost exploded

When you pulled back and looked at me

You had a smile on your face as you said

‘You’re so beautiful to me’

Every moment we shared was perfect

But last night is one i'll never forget

You held me close as we watched TV

I leaned up and looked into your beautiful eyes

My hand touched your face

As I slowly leaned down and kissed you

That’s when you put your arms around my waist

Pulling me closer so I couldn’t get away

As if you were trying to say ‘Never leave me’

I pull back and put my head on our chest

I realize for the first time in years

That I might be falling in love

He’d already caught my eye

Now I think he’s capturing my heart
