I have been hesitant to share this story with you, because it is so close to my heart. However, I also think that Gwen and Mandy, my wonderful girls, are too special to keep to myself. Their story has touched me deeply, and I want to share it.

I first got to know Gwen and Mandy on Christmas Eve. I was twelve at the time. Years later, they have changed my life completely. They helped me discover my true sexuality, and taught me how to be comfortable in my own skin.

One of the most incredible things I’ve discovered while writing this novel is how the story and characters grow as the plot progresses. It starts out something like Mean Girls, but is transformed into something much darker and more thought-provoking by the last part.

The story is divided in to seven parts. Each part is told by either Gwen or Mandy. Please be warned that, starting in Part Five, there are explicit scenes of consensual sex between two women. I find them rather beautiful myself, but if you don’t want to read that sort of thing, please leave.

I plan to write two other books after this one. The second one revolves around a romance between Callie, Gwen’s formerly shy cousin, and Alicia, Mandy’s jilted ex-lover. The third one involves Drew Leavenworth, Mandy’s other jilted ex-lover, and Liz, Gwen and Mandy’s friend. All four characters are introduced in this book.

I do not own the song ‘Sunshine of your Love’ by Cream. I will not post the lyrics here, but if you want to listen to it to set the mood, feel free.
