They slide down her pale face.
Her body shook as a soft sobbed escaped her lips.

Her heart was beating as she sat there.
She raised her hands and wiped the tears off her face.
It started to rain and she stood.
Opening the window she slipped out into the night.
She held the golden locket to her heart.

She sat in the middle of the road, her head bowed.
The pain was too much and she sat there.
