Isolation

Sometimes I feel so cold

Like I’m alone when I’m in a crowded room

Sometimes I feel like no one

Understands the true me

Like I’m standing in a blizzard

Screaming in the emptiness

And isolation of it all

With a silence so deadly around me

Sometime I feel like I’m trapped

Not in the darkness,

But in the light—

The endless white

With no end or beginning

But stuck in the absence of everything

So alone, sometimes I think I’ve lost myself.
