Black Pacts

II.

Lost in dream, my heart intact

Searching for a plausible fact

To play within this dark, dark act

Screams reawaken the bloody pact.

II.

The silver knife is raised

Glassy eyes, clammy skin, grazed

The blood pools but they seem dazed

As Satan’s marks swim and blaze.

III

Call me from this dance of death

The skull’s face brings forth this milky breath

It stretches cords of muscle, breathes meth

Must this sacrificial Abel be replaced with innocent Seth?

IV

I lie, waiting to break, for my body to forget the ache

You have my heart, what else do you want to take?

Love was the most complex to keep, the easiest to make

When Eve tempted the snake.
